Ani Wa Ya is OPEN to all that Seek and wish to share |
This site deals with the beliefs of the Native American Peoples. This site was started as a way to share what people find important. This site may contain things that many people disagree with such as religions and ways of life. That is the reason this site is here to give us all views of others. This site deals with Native American thoughts and Religion. In this day and age it seems that labels are needed for every thing. The label "New Age" May apply to this site in the eyes of some. Even the so called New Age folks have good things to offer and why should this be left out? We feel all people have something to give. Therefore this site will not use those labels. This site is not just for the Native people It is hoped that by learning what is here about the Native American Indians it will be harder to hate all people red, white, black, yellow and maybe you will find your path. It is also hoped that this site will help to bring ALL Peoples together. It is to show all people what the Native Peoples have. This site shows that the Red race is no better or worse than any other skin color, the days of blood amount should no longer matter it has been said it is whats in the heart not the amount of blood. It is also hoped that all that enter this site do it with a good heart and thoughtless of color or blood amount. A note to those that think they are special because of the skin color. (This statement will get me more virus email than I already get, but so be it.) We the ones of native blood should really stop and look at ourselves before we start whining about what the white race has done to us. That was the old ones of all colors not us in this time! We have done far worse to our own people than what was done by those that have gone on before us. An Example of this would be voting on a blood quantum cut off for per capita checks. What happens to those that fall below this quantum? Does this mean a grandchild is not native cause of the blood amount? Think about it! Another example is the PowWow. It has lost what it was for in many parts of this country. It used to be a time of celebration of life and the love of life, time of trading and a gathering of all who wished to join in. It is not some staged choreographed show about who can be the best. Children were never touched for making a mistake in the dance circle! I have heard they are in some PowWows now. Many are allowing drink at a Powwow, Charging for Dance or Ceremony Lessons! This is being done by those that say they are "Blood" and because they are "Blood" it is not culture theft. I will pray for you that do this for your heart and spirit is dark, sick and your path is not that of the RED ROAD. There have been many non-red skinned folks that have and still carry the true SPIRIT of what it is to be a Native American or an Indian. To close this, we all bleed red show me the blood that is "red, white, yellow, or black" that is let when we cut ourselves. We are all creations of Creator! The Grandfathers have taught us the sacred colors are Red, Yellow, White, and Black. These colors are the colors of humankind the Grandfathers knew this so, are they wrong? A Thought About this! Our fathers gave us many laws which they had learned from their fathers. They told us to treat all men as they treated us. That we should never be the first to break a bargain. That it was a disgrace to tell a lie. That we should speak only the truth. We were taught to believe that the Great Spirit sees and hears everything and that he never forgets. This I believe and all my people believe the same. We all live on this small world and we should have out grown hate and mistrust long ago. |
